The vertical configuration of the Kaplan turbine allows for larger runner diameters (above 10 m) and increased unit power.

Our Kaplan turbines also keep the environment in mind. Engineered with a "fish-friendly“ structure, to improve the survival rate of migrating species,

and water-lubricated bearings and water-filled hubs to prevent water pollution.

Our Kaplan turbines are constructed with oil-free hubs where the oil traditionally filling the hub has been replaced by water and all brushes are made

of self-lubricating material. This eliminates the risk of oil leakage in the water.
